Steaks and walking.

Those are steaks from tuna or other fish. Today, I will prepare some from turkey breast.

As my more relaxed periods first weak finished, I gained some weight, but not much. 

I have to decide, measure it only once a week not many times a day.

Get preoccupied more with other things.

I did begin to walk, slowly, not so much at the beginning. Still, 28 steps up and down to get out, and take pictures.

How to find good bred?

I love bred. And can not eat as much as I would like. OK, then three slices of toasted bred a day... but at least, those should be tasty!

How to conserve in freezer even?

It seems a celery stick inside a closed plastic bag. Still, does not tell me which whole meal or rye bred is tasty! Some are even, alas unsalted, without announcing it. Of course, no taste because of it. 

I will not make my own bred. After the war, we used to do it, then bake it in a bakers oven. We did not have then any oven in the kitchen. Yesterday, I got bred craving and eat late evening some craquers instead. This morning, my weight is up again. Not too much.

Colours count too!

Colors, of food counts too!

First, it is enticing, here green and red from Avocados and Tomatoes.

And yellow citron, added too.

Then, all different colored foods contain different healthy ingredients.

Eventually, I may add an egg, and that adds yellow to all. And salt.

I will have to go buy avocados!

Enjoy what is

Again and again, have to remember myself:

Don't make a bigger problem with what happens to you then the problem is. 

Enjoy what is, deal the best possible with what happens. 

Perhaps, even create a book from this blog.

Make a book from the blog?

Perhaps, perhaps not. It is not the cost, it would be good to be able to read it from beginning to end, and there are not too many posts, after all, from October to now.

I lost about ten kilos, on the way.

But that is not the most important. I learned to eat better.  I learned not to be panicked any more.

So what? I do have diabetes 2 and, probably had for a while, without knowing.

It opened a new window to a world I did not know about before, and my interest about food.

Weight changes with hours, before breakfast

At 4:30 it showed 84.9 and at 7 am it come to 84.5 
I had breakfast later, around 8 am.

This is a sign to me also not to worry about small changes on the scale. Worry only if it goes up with 2 kilos. In all, going steady down from when I begun to look every day.

Plateaux

Learned to eat more vegetables, but also to combine more colours. Enjoy taste, savour, and delectable in colours.

Divers colours mean also combing different types of vitamins and other useful ingredients, I do not care to remember their names.

A lot changed in my life since I was diagnosed with diabetes 2, and even if now my weight is on a plateau, from September I lost  ten kilos.

Almost a kilo back in 24h

Usual, coffee, toasted bred, fruit, for morning. 

This, spinach and two eggs, fruit salad, for lunch.

Fresh salmon and greens for dinner. A fruit. 

Alas, after dinner, a tiny tablet of dark chocolate, some more fruits. 

Result? Almost a kilo plus! 


Was more careful today. Will se result tomorrow morning. But it said to me, one kilo goes back so fast! Have to be careful.

Nachos, guacamole? What is it?

As I go on, discover new foods or names. Guacamole is from Avocado and Lemon mainly, the blank is cottage cheese. One can melt cheese or add other ingredients. Mexicain origin I think.
